New way to ride : Orbitwheels

Orbitwheel2The Orbitwheel is a new concept for wheeled sports and the idea is simple: two feet, two wheels…and you’re ready to go! A set of Orbitwheels is a cross between a skateboard and pair of inline skates - but with more freedom and simplicity than either. When you're ready to ride, simply put your foot in the wheel and away you’ll go. The wheels' large radii allow you to ride on a variety of different surfaces, and an all-new connecting band makes learning easier than ever! After you have mastered the wave-like propulsion, you can remove the band for amazing freedom of movement. With the Orbitwheels whirling around your feet, you’re capable of countless tricks and maneuvers that can be as complex and creative as your imagination!

The Pen Printer

Abandoned pens and other such stationery stand a chance at purposeful usage, thanks to the Pen Printer. The device uses the ink from discarded pens to print on paper. The current tech may not support such an ambitious idea, but it’s worth the exploration, since many of us have bundles of uncapped and discarded pens in our drawers for no apparent reason!

The Pen that stores all you write : even mailing and texting is possible

D:Scribe is a digital fountain pen that allows users to send SMS and email messages from paper. Just write out the message and circle the person’s name to send. This does away with a keypad and allows you to focus on communicating in a more personal way from anywhere as long as you have a bluetooth enabled phone and a surface to write on. The pen also records everything you write which can be accessed on a computer. Of course for the creative peeps, if writing doesn’t suit your fancy, the D:Scribe also works with genius and not so genius drawings of brilliance.
The design is loosely based on a quill and inkwell where by the quill is the writing apparatus and the inkwell is an electromagnetic induction charger.
Once a message is sent, the status is displayed on the built-in OLED screen. The designers have also expanded its capabilities beyond that of messaging. Should your home electronics and appliances be bluetooth enabled, you could potentially program the pen to input commands by writing in the air. A little abstract but lets pretend this idea is more a patent for possibilities.

    • The Sony Eclipse is a media player which can be stick in a window with a suction cup.
    •  It is concept and has not been launched yet. However, it is an all-purpose media player which particularly stands out due to one feature i.e solar chargeable.
    • It works through the use of photovoltaic cells on the backside which consumes solar power.
    • This device operates through its touch screen and other common features include WiFi, Bluetooth and a USB port or two. You can stream music, podcasts and weather updates through a PC or a Smartphone.
    • You may think if the sun doesn't come out due to a bad weather you would not be able to charge it with solar energy.  Also, you won’t be able to charge it during the night. Still, in normal conditions you will rarely see the ‘battery low’ sign.
